Newly added video looks like anamophic film [tall and skinny]

I'm editing video in Ps (don't have Premier). All going well, until I try to add video from another camera. They're both recorded in HD (1920x1080), but when I Add Media to a second Video Group it appears tall and skinny, and does not fill the width of the video window in a 1920x1080 project.

Anyone have any suggestions for getting this video in, and having it look correct?

Hi!

So sorry for the delay! Do you still need help with the project you are working on? If so, could you take a screen shot of your workspace including the timeline, and give us a little more information about the source video and what program it was created in? Is it a compressed video file?

We will be more effective at finding the answer with a little more info!

Thanks,

Michelle

It sounds like one of your videos was shot with none square pixels. Still, it should not be a problem. Just put the second video clip into a smart object and use Ctrl+T to transform it to teh required shape.

Wow, it's been so long since I posted the question, that I completely forgot that I had, and now 2 answers in 1 day. Well, thank you both, but the project had a deadline long past, so I had to figure it out myself. I was somehow able to resize the video, but at this point I couldn't tell you how, probably transform, as Dave mentioned, though I don't recall if I had to make it a smart object. In any case, it's done now.

Oh, and for the record, it seems that although I thought the second camera was shooting 1920x1080, it wasn't, my bad. OTOH, I really don't do video all that much, it was one of those doing it for free because it's family things and I was asked to do still photography, and was told about ten minutes before the event, that what they'd really like was video. So there you go.

And finally, no offense to Michelle or Dave, but I must say that waiting 7 weeks for a response to a question makes this forum pretty useless.

Hi Vic

We are volunteer users here not employees. If you don't get any response within a couple of days it is worth bumping up the thread to keep it near the top.
