Does somebody recognize this story: At least in the Netherlands, many Windows users faced a problem with their internet connection after a november update of Windows 10. Mircrosoft offered a solution for this just a few days ago. This solution worked for me and I was happy to regain a working internet connection. But after a Photoshop CC 2017 update in the night from 13 to 14 december, my internet connection failed again. This time it was worse because I coouldn't even send or receive mail, which was still possible with the faulty Windows update. I tried all the solutions Microsoft offered, but no result. Until I thought of the Photoshop update. So I got the idea of removing PS, LC and CC from my computer. And guess what? Internet is working again! What is wrong with the last PS update? How to fix it?
Its as bad as saying PS update caused you to loose your connection.
Seems like you might have a dll conflict with PS and AVG
I have seen AVG shut down internet access before and it was not PS that was involved.
Can you try disabling AVG during your install and see if that helps.
O you can uninstall AVG and go with windows defender and see if PS shuts down your internet access.
But PS does not have this hidden feature to disconnect people internet access. But then there is Microsoft ..................

Can you raise this on the Photoshop feedback site. Keep following this thread, but I don't remember a similar thread in this forum, and your post will be seen by Jeff Tranberry on the Feedback site.

I use AVG but I don't see how this is related to the internet problem. And yes I tried Windows trouble shooting and as usual it didn't give me an answer. There are two possibilities with Windows trouble shooting: 1) it is thinking about five minutes and tells you there is no problem, or 2) it is thinking eternally and tells you nothing. In this case I got option 2. Windows trouble shooting is the most worthless application I know.

First: I followed the threads given by John T Smith but nowhere is stated that AVG causes internet problems in relation to PS CC. Its about not finding a capable video play module, a hanging splash screen and an incompatible video codec. Nothing about failing connections. Second: the problems started AFTER receiving a PS update. Third: WITH AVG running and WITHOUT PS running I have internet problems. And WITH AVG running and WITHOUT PS having installed I don't have internet problems. So I think it is bad to tell this is AVG related.

Hi
Something like this happened to me (a few times) and was related to a change in my internet Host "Port" number.
To fix it, I had to create a new internet account. I bet it's because/interference of the "Creative Cloude" App. (but I can not prove it)
I still dont use any 2007 updates. It does not interfere with my "Creative Cloude" App. but my email connection.

in witch case the login will not be in the top right corner...
shut photoshop, logout out of your Adobe CC app and quit it from the task bar... open Adobe CC app back up. sign in with your Adobe Account and then open photoshop.

I have to admit: AVG is the problem. I reinstalled PS CC2017 while still having AVG installed and again I lost my internet connection. Then I removed AVG from my system while still having PS installed and I regained the connection. So ... I have to rely on Windows Defender then. We'll see. Thankls for the help!

Hello,
In November and December 2016 we had the same issue, after downloading the latest version of Photoshop. This version together with our AVG internet security subscription gave us many problems (mainly not being able to open gmail, Google analytics, etc), so that we decided to stop our Adobe subscription (although we still had to pay for half a year).
But now we really want Adobe Photoshop back. So can anyone tell us: is the issue solved? Can we buy a Photoshop subscribtion again?
