Hi, I'm kinda new to photoshop but I've been getting the hang of it, my photoshop has been updated today just later you know before. So basically I'm trying to make a design and the text is supposed to be in a shape and I've been looking up tutorials and it says to make the shape then go to objects> envelope distorts and that's not an option for me, it not on there, and I tried to search it up in the search bar on ps and youtube google and I got nothing, so I'm wondering if any of you can help me or does anyone have the same problem its odd and very frustrating.

I think what  you want is the warp part of transform there is a Warp Icon in the tool option bar for that transforming feature and in it there are presets gride options and handle controls.

As ged has told you, that is not a Photoshop feature, but any time you are not sure where to find something, use the Discover tool by clicking on the magnifier icon in the top right corner.  Even experienced users might forget where an infrequently used tool is located, and Discover takes you right to it.

Hi Trevor, from the video the OP attached it seems they are aware of the discover tool 😉

Hi

I think you may be mistaking, sounds like the tutorial is for Adobe Illustrator and not Photoshop

Photoshop has a Warp option for text
