No refine edge brush available in select and mask PS CC19.1.6

On my desktop, I have no refine edge brush menu in select and mask. I have it on my laptop, running the same version of PS. Anybody have any suggestions why it doesn't show up on my desktop and how to fix it? Help, please!

Thanks!

That reset symbol resets the controls to their defaults but does not alter the panels and toolbar.

To reset the actual workspace to default, with select and mask open go to the top right of the options bar and click the down arrow. Then choose Reset Select and Mask

I have a couple of thoughts--

In your version of PS Select and Mask, is there a little icon at the bottom left of the panel that looks like this:

When you click on this little icon on the left, it should reset the workspace.

If that doesn't work, one other thing you might consider is opening up your preferences on both machines and checking to see if all of the same preferences are checked.

Let us know if that takes care of the issue?

I do have that button, but it doesn't seem to change or reset anything. 😞

I haven't had time to sort thru the preference setting on both machines yet but I will take a look at that.

Thanks!

When I go into select and mask this option on the top bar totally goes away.

So in the whole process of messing with this I suddenly didn't even have the properties, etc along the right side that I had been able to use...it was just a blank page with no tools. Went to "Select" drop down menu on the top bar of photoshop and it gave me a Reset Select and Mask option....and problem solved!!! Now that it's reset, that option is gone from the menu but my select and mask looks like it should.

Thanks to all for their help and things to try.
