No Text Cursor, Can't See Text Selection

Upgraded to Photoshop 22.0.0, and now all text selection tooltips are completely gone.  Text selection is 100% invisible as well.  It wasn't like this before so do not blame my machine's drivers.

Also, there are no visual indications that I'm even in text-editing mode at all.
