Removing noise in raw works very much faster when I switch off the GPU.

GPU  off max. 30 sec.  GPU on, many minutes

Canon RAW cr2 and cr3  Canon 5D DS r and R6.

Can't understand, for Adobe advises to switch it on, so it would be faster.

Maby a bug, I don't know.

Thank you Leo, for letting us know that it is running slower with the GPU turned on. What graphics processor card are you using? Is that the only thing in Photoshop that slows down wit it turned on?

Are you specifically using the new "Denoise" function? Or is this the old and traditional noise reduction? Those two are very different.

That Denoise will take a minute or two on a GTX 1660 is expected. Denoise really requires a newer RTX-series GPU, which has Tensor cores optimized for AI-based operations like Denoise. On an RTX, it typically takes 10-15 seconds.

Something doesn't make sense here. You can't turn the GPU off in ACR - it now needs GPU support to run at all - and ACR is where Denoise is executed.

You need to explain in detail what you're doing.
