Hi All,
Any thoughts on how I might equalize the strong color/luminosity contrast between the roof shingles in this photo? Any help appreciaed.

Are you asking how to repair the brown stain on some of those shingles?
What is the image going to be used for? If it's for realestate sale, then you obviously need to be careful.
How good is the original image? The file you provided is not great because the house ocupies so small a part of the image.
If the resolution is good you might be able to use a colour overlay, but I suspect it is too bad for that, so you might need to use a texture like this
What I like to do is outline each area with the Pen tool, and copy the original with that path as a selection.
Then clip the texture layer to that copy. This allows you to Transform the texture to match perspective and angle etc.
When you have a good, similar colour for all of the shingles, it's easy to adjust colour by grouping them, and clipping a hue/saturation layer to the group.
