Question

Nothing functioning on PS home screen

(Mac user) When I open PS (or any other Adobe app), there's no recent files or anything else functioning on the home screen and the blue wheel keeps spinning. I can drag stuff into PS to work on, but when close out of it, it just goes back to non-functioning home screen. I've tried un-installing and re-installing PS, un-installing and re-installing the CC app, restarting my computer. Attached is the only thing I see on the home screen. Is this a weird thing with Catalina? This is annoying! Please help!

-> You are right, Catalina is absolutely weird 😞

I've seen this in classrooms a few times – please check your Internet Connection (do all the CC Services work?) and also, after every Update the Read/Write Rights on your system…

That's weird, Catalina should work with Photoshop v20 but I did hear today that there were some issues. Check out this article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-and-macos-catalina.html

Also, when you did the uninstal/reinstal, did you remove the old preferences and make sure not to bring them back? Here's a video to show you what I mean (recorded using the old Creative Cloud App):
