Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 is giving performance issue after upgrading to Photoshop 23.1.1.

Photoshop is performing too laggy then got hanged after upgrading to version 23+.

I did Nvidia driver update, driver rolle back, clean install the multiple driver versions, clean install the photoshop, even re-installed the windows but the performance problem remains the same.

But if I disabled the Graphics Processor under Preference It works fine!

Any idea how I can solve this problem please?

You have dual GPUs, which causes conflicts. You need to disable the Intel GPU.

Hi D Fosse, Thanks for your reply.

Since It is a Laptop I can't disable the Intel GPU because the Intel GPU is powering up the Laptops display and I don't have an external monitor. As you reffered to the section 7 and 8 in the given link I perform both tasks, such as; I made the changes in the Nvidia Control Panels - Manage 3D settings and relaunched Photoshop but nothing is Improved! Then I disable the Intel GPU but it made my display stratched, dark and laggy.

Once aganin; I used all previous version of PS on this machine very smoothly but the version 23+ is the only version is giving me this kind of issues. Currently I'm also using other Adobe Products like Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, XD and these all runs nicely as they should.

I don't think the problem is the GPU driver rather than It probably be a Photoshop bug!

What do you think? any other suggestion please?

I figured out a solution on my own.

The issue occurs every time I update the Nvidia driver's latest release. So, I have decided to reinstall HP's last OEM version, NVidia Game Ready Driver Version 452.41 (release date: 19/07/2021) to see if that would work for me.

To my surprise, Photoshop now works perfectly as it should!

If a previous version of Nvidia Driver works for you, don't forget to hide the latest Nvidia driver from Automatic Windows Update.
