Since the last update my object selection tool seems to have gone on a go slow.. Firstly it takes a while to find the object which I can put up with but then having selected the object it is taking something like 25 seconds after clicking to come up with the marching ants..Something which used to happen almost immediately priot to the latest update.. Is this normal?

Hi @michael d are you using Cloud or local processing on the tool? (Check the options bar right side).

Hi @michael d two things - 1: your GPU is 3 mo out of date, I would check for updates.

2: You have two GPUs one underpowered (Intel UHD) and your main one. Here’s how to resolve: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#multiple-gpus

Many thanks for help Kevin. I have done all you have suggested. Checked the program settings in the NVIDIA panel and Photoshop and sniffer seem to be there. I have been on the NVIDIA website and downloaded the latest driver. Checked on the Dell support site which shows everything is upto date and drivers are latest. Tried the object selection tool and the masking comes up pretty quickly now. Marching ants taking about 15 seconds which is fine for me. Only thing I cannot find to do is the 'Preferred  Graphics processor to High Performance. I don't seem to have this. The AMD processor I just don't use..The NVIDIA seems to over-ride it. Again many thanks
