Object selection tool so slow

Since the last update my object selection tool seems to have gone on a go slow.. Firstly it takes a while to find the object which I can put up with but then having selected the object it is taking something like 25 seconds after clicking to come up with the marching ants..Something which used to happen almost immediately priot to the latest update.. Is this normal?

Hi @michael d are you using Cloud or local processing on the tool? (Check the options bar right side).

Thanks for the follow up. Can you go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply? Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
