Objects outside art board showing.. how to hide them again?

Seems like a glitch, but maybe I toggled an option on somehow without knowing. Never been an issue before, and I exited and restarted PS a couple times without it fixing itself. The off-artboard elements are hidden until I copy and pasted a layer style, then the orange circles show up outside the artboard. Is this a bug? Is there any way to hide them again? Image attached. So frustrating. Thanks!

I can't see your full Layers panel, but I can recreate the setup with the following:

  • The content on the canvas has been converted into an artboard
  • The circles are shape layers, so around them is transparency

You can select the artboard (it's a special kind of group), right-click, and select Ungroup Artboard or go to Layer > Ungroup Artboard. Ungrouping the artboard appears to apply the space of the original artboard to each shape layer. If you don't want the extra canvas, then you can crop off the extra.
