OEM CD's, legal? [2005]

I have come across various websites offering OEM Photoshop disks for ridiculous prices. I strive to stay legal in my software purchases and not buy grey-market or bootleg anything. The sites selling this software say it is legal as they have the license from the OEM. I'm confident the CD's are real though not sure of the act of reselling.

I can't find anything on Adobe's site - are these CD's legal for resale without the original hardware bundle?

I've locked it. It is not invalid to ask such a question, but the simple answer now to the very old thread is that CC is the only version now made and it is subscription only and not on CD.

Hello,

it depends on local laws.

When local laws allow unbundling of software and when the seller
has no otherwise contract with adobe then it is legal.

Here on german ebay PS 6.0 OEM is offered with upgradedable and Adobe verified serialnumber and official bill.

All such versions for sale
other than by Adobe or retailers who sell the software in full
shrinkwrap boxes with manuals and Adobe-issues serial number are
illegal by the laws of all localities of which I'm aware.

--marc

It is not grey
market - it is bootleg/pirate/illegally copied.

--marc
