Oh No! Still Using CS6 - Dehaze by Dave Cross

Several years ago I installed CS6 Dehaze by Dave Cross and it worked well.

Then I had a hard disk issue (everything was backed up so no losses). I still had an actuation so I was able to install CS6 and everything works fine. Except I don't have some of the same paths. So I can't get the Dehaze to work in Camera RAW, after placing the presets in various places I created a path the same as what I used before but it still doesn't appear to find them.

Is there a place somewhere that I can see the path ACR is trying to use. Or maybe somebody can help getting it to work.

As far as I remember, presets are stored in a folder

C:\Users\<URESNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

where <USERNAME> is your Windows username

What is in this folder for you?

In my original setup I had to put it in c:\Users\Temp\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

and it worked there.

Since I installed a 4TB drive (Previous was 2TB), Windows 10 reloaded and reinstalled PS CS6 I don't have any of those folders within c:\Users.

I believe I also tried creating those folders manually and that didn't work. Maybe I made a mistake creating them so I'll tried again.

Did you have "Temp" as your username?
These folders seem to be created by the Camera RAW plugin.
What version do you have now? Photoshop CS6 comes with the outdated 7.0.
To use dehaze, you must have the latest version available for CS6, i.e. version 9.1.1.
The installation file can be downloaded from here https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html

No I didn't have Temp as my username.

After reinstalling PS CS6, etc I have Camera Raw 9.1.1 installed.

I'm wondering if there is a path somewhere in Preferences where I can enter where to find presets.

The AppData folder is normally hidden in Windows.

You need to enable File Explorer to show the hidden files

Yes, I was just about to write this.

There's a "Hiden Folder" issue I have to resolve.  Thanks.

I messed up a few things (my screen layout but fixed it) but and unhid all of Users, loaded the .xmp files for the DeHaze preset and it now works.

Thanks to all who helped.
