Onedrive folder as a working directory? - Photoshop

Hey all,

I‘m looking for the least intrusive backup / collaboration solution for our artists who use PS/Maya/3dsmax.

Would it work out to have them work in a OneDrive folder?

(At least in regards to Photoshop)

I work from a One Drive folder. My documents are stored locally. You don't want to work on files stored remotely. I think One Drive will sync them down to the desktop if you want to work on them - but this is a must. You want them on your desktop to work on them.

Hi Sam,

To add to what Melissa has suggested, when you save and open files across a network or from removable media, many variables affect application performance. Therefore, some problems occur more frequently when you work across a network or from removable media than from a local hard disk. (Network-related problems include damaged files, denied access, or slow performance.)
