Open a Dialog from a Listener

is there a proper way to open a dialog when an eventOpen is received?

under mac there are certain resource fork problems that keep u from opening a dialog during an eventlistening.

has anyone encountered such a problem and did you solve it?

would be glad for any help

Your resource fork is closed during the listening. See the listener sample project. You will need to create a descriptor and use the play routine. Pass in the id for your plug-in and then you will get the normal DoIt entrypoint and your resource will be at the top of the chain.
