Hello,

I have a PNG file 195 x 98 pixels (this is a logo).  You can see here that if I open this file in photoshop it gives me strange result (aliasing) (see at left). Why ?

In order to compare, I have opened this PNG file with Windows Photo (see at right on the screenshot) and you can see that there is no problem.

Now, if I crop and resize this PNG file in photoshop, it gives me bad results in the saved file. Why ?

How to have a good result in Photoshop with this PNG file ?

On a canvas 195 x 98 pixels  you are bound to see the pixel detail. Windows Photo would be applying a 'smoothing' action to the image.

Increasing the Canvas will only increase the aliasing appearance.

You could try resizing the image with one of the Re-Sampling options for comparison.
