open multi page pdf and tiff files

Hi,

 

I have a requirement to multiple page tiff and pdf giles in photoshop, i found that while opening the multipage tiff file it opens only the first page in tiff file. While opening the multipage pdf file photoshop opens the pages in different tabs.

 

Please let me know if i can open the multiple page tiff and pdf files in single tab and edit them in photoshop.

If you have Acrobat Pro that will open Multpage tifs and export them as a pdf or separate tif files.

 

Gimp will import Multipage tifs as layers which can then be exported to a file format that supports layers like tif or psd.

I also have a script that was once available on the Adobe Exchange called PDF_Pages_to_Layers by Heike Herzog-Kuhnke 03/2014 that seems to work fine in photoshop 2022.

        What kind of pdfs are the pdfs, what kind of editing do you need to perform on them?

        Consider using InDesign, which is the tool to use for multipage documents, particularly if you need to include text as well as images.

          Yes, each PDF will open as a separate image, Photoshop is an image editor, not a multi-page PDF editor or reader.

           

          AFAIK Photoshop doesn't support multi-page TIFF files, so third-party software would be required.
