OpenCL is greyed out

I tried updating drivers, changing settings in preferences to preferred, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling Photoshop and nothings changed.

Cant tick the opencl box (because its greyed out) and non of the suggested fixes helped me.

I am using photoshop on my laptop.

I am using AMD A9 APU for laptops (7th gen A9-9420) with newest drivers (old drivers still greyed out Opencl).

Im running windows 10 x64 and Photoshop 19.1.7 x64

Does your Laptop have dual GPU's, can you post your Photoshop system info, go to Help > System Info and copy and paste that into this thread

Try adding Photoshop.exe and sniffer.exe to the 3D application settings in the AMD control panel, both can be found in this location

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019

Can you show me where to find this menu. When i researched AMD catalyst control panel, this is what i got. I cannot find that settings menu on this panel

Sorry I'm not familiar with the new AMD control panel as I only have an older AMD GPU on my work PC.

If you have any settings that needs backing up take a look here before doing the below

Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Close Photoshop if it's opened and delete this file Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Prefs.psp from this location

C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings

You may need to enable this option in file explorer

The Oil Paint filter needs OpenCL enabled for it to work, is it still disabled

Hi, I have had this problem too on my laptop a AMD Ryzen 5 2500 and a RX 560X - in all programs from Adobe that can use OpenCL it was greyed out or not clickable - I tried alot of registry "solutions" and even the AMD SDK - Nothing worked - until I simply upgraded to the latest driver from AMD. Hope this helpes oh all Adobe programs is running latest version.
