I have purchased the licence for an Adobe Stock Image (File# 283145896) which has downloaded as an AI file.

I have Photoshop CC but I do not have Illustrator which I believe AI files are associated with.

When I try to open this wedding invite template in Photoshop CC, it asks me to Rasterize the image. The preset values seem very small but regardless as to whether I increase them or leave them as preset, the image opens and in extremely pixelated/blurry.

What do I need to do to be able to open this file in Photoshop CC and edit them so I can make our wedding invites?

I haven't tried to download an AI file from Adobe Stock, but I have a feeling that you need AI to open it and edit the file. All you will get with PS is a smart object, that is rasterized. You need to open it in AI and grab the componets of the various invitation that you want. Maybe do a trial on IA and get them transferred to PS so that you can use them.

illustrator uses vectors to make the image i.e, lines and dots

Photoshop uses bitmaps

the main advantage of vectors is that they are small and easy to make different sizes

the main disadvantage is that they need the cpu [at the other end] to do the math in order to put them back together

the bottom line is that if you want to use vectors then Photoshop is the wrong tool for the job
