opening GIF's in Apple Mail

New Here ,
Mar 17, 2017 Mar 17, 2017

I've designed a 3.6MB GIF in Photoshop CS5. I've sent out this GIF in an email through my Gmail account. I've sent it to my Time Warner account which is linked to Apple Mail. It doesn't come through. I am able to send it to my Gmail account and a Yahoo account. When I Google the problem I read that Apple Mail doesn't support GIF's. And yet just last week I received a GIF (designed in Photoshop...not sure which version) in Apple Mail. That's what gave me the idea to do my own GIF! Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Is this an animated GIF or a static one?  3.6MB is a large image file.  Maybe your TWC or Apple mail has a file size limit you don't know about.
