Question

Opening Photoshop CC on Mac clears my Finder Items - This Just me?

Hoping someone else has experienced/solved this problem.

I have some folders I drag to the Mac Finder sidebar for quick access and have them arranged a certain way.

Every time I open Photoshop CC to work on an image, my Finder sidebar resets to the Mac default and I have to rebuilt my custom sidebar over and over again.

I have a screenshot of what it is, so it's not like I'm losing hours of my life over this, but it would be great to know if there's something causing it that can be fixed or adjusted.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Maybe doing a complete reset of the photoshop cc 2019 preferences will correct the issue

Trash the following in Macintosh HD/Users/UserName/Library/Preferences

Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings

Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Paths

com.adobe.Photoshop.plist

If you have Workspaces saved, first remove them from Machintosh HD/Users/UserName/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Settings/WorkSpaces before doing the preference reset.

If the above doesn't make a difference then i suspect the reason is that Photoshop CC 2019 is showing the signs of not being fully compatible with macOS Monterey, since Monterey came out some time after Photoshop CC 2019 did.

Is there any reason for not updating to a newer Photoshop version like 2023 or 2024?

Photoshop CC 2019 and Mac OS 12.4 Monterey. Did not happen pre CC, but that was a while ago.

What version of photoshop and macOS are you using?

Has this just started or happened in other photoshop versions?
