I'm having an issue that when I'm using my brush, the effects in my folder overlap and create this distorted effect. The only way to make it disappear is to mark a layer unvisible, then visible again, which is proving to be annoying. The effects come from a folder from which my layers are grouped, and if I move the effects to the layer itself, the overlap bug fixes, but that's still not ideal for my work. Anyone have any solutions on how I could fix this?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the exact version of Photoshop you're using along with the version of Windows you're working on? What are the brush settings that you're using?

Please try updating Photoshop to the latest version to check if the issue persists. If it does, you can try resetting the Brush tool using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#tool

Regards,

Nikunj
