Overset Text in Adobe Photoshop

Hello Everyone,

I am currently using Photoshop CC 2015 and CC 2017. Is there some sort of Preflight profile (such as in inDesign) or setting preset to notify me whenever I have overset text in photoshop because sometimes you might have overset text and its over looked.

    Seems to be difficult to identify automatically.

    Identify overset text in a text frame

    Converting to Point Text temporarily might offer a workaround as it throws an error with overset Paragraph Text but that would seem more like a topic for the Scripting Forum.

    Photoshop Scripting

    Edit: I might have been too optimistic on this issue, but it still might be worth posting on the Scripting Forum.

    Comparing the original textKey with the textKey after converting to point text should allow making the distinction but it might not run particularly fast.
