Hi there,

Sorry that the Crop tool is crashing Photoshop 2021 v 22.3. That shouldn't be happening, let us make it right.

What is your computer's OS and if you're on a Mac, are you using the one with M1 processor?

Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

You may also try the steps mentioned here and see how it goes:

Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Thanks,

Akash

Since I installed the latest update of Photoshop I cant use the crop tool anymore.

I select the tool but when I want to change the crop area size, photoshop freeze and I must close it with CTRL+ALT+DEL.

All was working fine with previous version...

I have the same problem, since the latest update the crop tool locks up Photoshop and I have to do a Ctrl+Alt+Delete to close it.

Yes I have checked that Use Graphics Processor is un-checked.

Hi All,

Thanks for providing the details.

Would you mind restoring the preferences for Photoshop & see if it helps? See this article for reference: https://t.co/ulJI7cGn1G You may want to backup your settings beforehand: https://t.co/4dX7gkr36D

Just spent an hour plus on a chat with Adobe suuport who advised to go back to 22.0.1. I also went back to 22.2 from 22.3 and all is working again. Adobe support blaming the graphics card for the issue. it's the easy option.

To revert to version 22.2, first  open Adobe Creative Cloud; then click the three dots next to PhotoShop. Choose Other Versions and then select 22.2. All fixed.

It works after resetting setting but all preferences are lost. Not the best solution since it's the update which corrupts some settings. It should have some tools to repair the settings....
