Hi All,
Apologies for the flashing/strobing you're experiencing when opening files, this tends to affect older graphics cards (GPU) that don't support all of the aspects of DirectX 12.
For Windows:
For macOS:
We would like to find out if there are any of you on Windows for whom:
A. Use Older GPU Mode is Checked, and
B. Deactivate Native canvas is Unchecked, and
C. are still experiencing this strobing issue with a GPU that supports DirectX 12?
If so, could you please provide Photoshop's Help > System Info dialog text in this thread?

I create a background in the app and a white background appears which is uncontrollable. It is also impossible to open anything, which is again evidenced by the white background. You can't draw, open a file, do any manipulations, you can't use the background in any way

Hi @Yulia_bt
Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and enable “Older GPU mode (pre 2016)” - Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

No worries...
Go to Preferences, then scroll to Technology Previews and you will see a checkbox to select called Older GPU mode. Select that and restart Ps and you should be good to go.

Let's start here @Yulia_bt
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

добрый день, @Yulia_bt
Did you do both settings? did you then restart? maybe could you please post the contents of Photoshop's Help>System Info... menu, so that we get to know your OS, its version, the exact version of Photoshop you are running, the date of the GPU driver, etc.
If your post disappears, do not repost it, as it might need to be approved by a moderator. As an alternative you can save it to a .txt file on your computer and attach it on your answer via the forum. (attachments do not post from e-mail)

L'espace de travail clignotait noir/blanc, impossible de traiter par lot etc.
Y a t-il eu une mise à jour dernièrement (04/2023)?
