when attempting to open a photo in Photoshop on my HP Laptop, details below, the photo appears in the layers tab bottom right, but not in the workspace /desktop: It is a constant Black / White strobe. The desktop /workspace flashes Black and white

Photoshop v24.3, Windows Home 11.
I have noticed that Photoshop gets progressively worse with each update. It gets more bloated, unwieldy, and all round unpleasant to use. But I think today was the final straw. I got this black and white flashing screen when I opened any file. This is a health risk and it could actually give someone a seizure and put them in hospital.

A customer service agent fixed my problem, sure, but then refused to understand why I was still angry. I wasted 45 minutes on a chat with someone who just refused to understand why I was upset and would not give me an email address where I could send this video. So here it is for the general public to be warned.

Go to Preferences - Technology Previews and check Deactivate Native Canvas. Then close and restart Photoshop.

Thanks, that stops the flashing when launching the program. But as soon as you import a file or create a new canvas it starts again. It's completely annoying and it's impossible to use it.

Do you want to go back to previous versions?
In Adobe Creative Cloud, select the product you wish to roll back, click on the three dots and select "Other Versions".

Does it happen on all documents or just one/some?

If you are able to open Photoshop with no documents open,please go to Preferences > Technology Previews and check Deactivate Native Canvas then close and restart Photoshop.

If that does not help, please go to Help > System info and press Copy. Then paste the info here.

If you are able to open Photoshop with no documents open,please go to Preferences > Technology Previews and check Deactivate Native Canvas then close and restart Photoshop.

Since a couple of months ago, I think since update 24.2, any file I try to open in Phtoshop renders a flashing screen (black and white). Files that in previous versions worked fine are now unusable. Different file formtas (Tif, jpg), created from Lightroom, export command.

No changes made to the machine. re installing the older woring version make Photoshop works as expected

I tried double clicking files, dragging and dropping, using Open menu. The same result.

Interface loks fine and menu and buttins work. The problem is in the images only

photoshop working version 24.2.0 (downgraded from the latest and worked fine)

I do not see any reason why minor Photoshop updates, working with the same machine and files render PS unusable

I did not try my Canon Raw files. I already downgraded the software version. So I am not able to try in the latests and I do not want to lose more time in this
