Hello. This message starts to pop up now with using GenAI tool (Photoshop beta and 26.7.0, both version)
"You don't have enough credits for this generative action. Upgrade your Firefly plan now to get more credits for continued access or wait until your monthly reset."
I have the annual subscription (renewed several days ago) and 250 credits included into this plan.
Usually when all credits are gone, GenAI just continue to work slower, but there wasn't any block to use this tool.
Are there any new rules/tariff changes for using this tool?
Hey @oksikemp,
It seems you have reached your monthly limit. You can either wait until your generative credit limit resets next month or purchase additional generative credits through the Firefly add-on plans. These plans have a month-to-month option that can be cancelled after a month without penalty if needed. Read more about changes to our plans here: https://adobe.ly/4jXoINs

The latest info on generative credits is here : https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/get-set-up/learn-the-basics/generative-credits-faq.html
The use depends on what you are trying to generate and also note section 13 for credits included with each plan

Hey Dave. My case is more about 20 section:
"For a limited time, Adobe may not enforce generative credit limits for standard features. Once you hit your limit, you may experience reduced generation speeds."
I talked with support. It seems there was some update which affected on Generative Fill at all 26 Photoshop versions. GenAi works on 25.12.3 and doesn't ask for additional credits as it was earlier with 26... Hope new update after 26.7.0. will fix that bug

Hello Anilika, I have the same situation yesterday. Generative tools wont work at all beacuse od credit limits. Do you think installing older version would fix this problem?

Hello! Yes with 25.12.3 GenAi works and doesn't ask for any credits. But this GenAi has an old ai model, it works worse.
It would be great, if you will try to chat with support too and describe them your case too. They should know that users are struggling with their last updates.

Thank you! I already did speak yesterday, becasue I was confused what happend ( i wasnt aware of credits). I only learned now, that it should work but slower.

It doesn't ask for credits, but if you write something it doesn't work, only if you leave it blank.

I checked again now.
Phoshop 25.12.3. Generative fill still works without credits.

UPD. it works only when you leave the prompt field blank (don't type anything to prompt)

You are right, I checked it now! That makes sense. I just usually don't type any prompt when doing removals/clean up

I've already seen 10 times that Adobe's support service is terrible, and in all 10 cases they didn't solve a single problem. All they can do is follow an algorithm and always suggest reinstalling Adobe Photoshop and resetting all settings. They can't solve anything else. I don't even bother anymore. It's a waste of time.
It's like they have interns working there.

I installed this version and it say I am out of credits. So the older version also not working.

The documentation appears to have been updated today (17 June) and I can no longer see a reference to that limit extension. As I commented further down the thread I have raised this thread with Adobe staff.

Another thoughtless update by Adobe that leaves pros hanging. We use Generative AI _heavily_ and would be willing to pay a monthly premium for unlimited, high-quality content. We often have to run their AI 20 or more times to get the results we need, so we're now paying for those other unusable generations.

Adobe is really getting on my nerves with their policies. I rely heavily on Generative Fill to speed up my work flow (photographer in a country with an abundance of traffic signs every few meters...) and now every Generative Fill usage is part of a credit system? [cursing removed] Seriously?
And Generative Fill has - in my experience - gotten WORSE with every Photoshop "update". There was a time when it would do exactly what I wanted. But now, when I give specific instructions it does something completely different and unwanted - and bam that incorrect creation is then deducted from my Generative Fille credit score? Seriously I want to say nasty things here.... I really do. This is unacceptable.
I am now stuck with a project and Generative Fill won't work because of credits... Adobe seriously your policies are illogical and outright infuriating.

Can anyone confirm that there's currently no credit charge for generative fill? On one hand, it says on the website that there isn't and that it runs slower when you run out of credits, and on the other hand, I read that they charge a credit. I don't know if that's correct, as of today's date.

*****I don't know if this is updated or if something has changed*****
Standard Features:
Each generative AI action for standard image and vector graphics features (such as Text to Vector and Generative Fill) typically consumes 1 generative credit per use, unless you have a plan with unlimited access to standard features. Access to standard features is included in Creative Cloud plans, such as the Firefly web app and Photoshop.
Currently, generative credit limits are not being enforced on standard features for users with Creative Cloud subscriptions. When you reach the limit, you may experience reduced generation speed.

Dear developers, how is it that for more than a year I have been paying money to use licensed software and generate people, and now I have to pay 12 bucks to generate additional photos? Why wasn't this feature added from the start?

That is, all this time there were no restrictions on generation, and now you suddenly have to pay extra money
