Painting a straight line on an angle using the brush tool

Hi Guys,

I know this might be a quick and easy question but can anyone tell me if there is a way to paint a straight line on an angle in photoshop using the brush tool while you are drawing instead of using the line tool?

I know you can paint a straight line by holding down the shift key with the brush tool, but I want to do the same action on an angle.

Thanks in advance

Paint the starting point of your line with a single click and let go of the mouse button.  Then move your cursor to where you want the end of the line to be and Shift+Click there.  Done.

    lol, i never knew that

but is there a way to actually paint it like the OP asks? i use a tablet and i would like to control thickness, opacity etc along the way.

EDIT: i guess i could rotate my canvas so my desired angle is either vertical or horizontal

I've seen skilled artists do it with a firm hand, even on a real canvas with real paint.

But I suppose you could position a ruler an inch or so above your tablet and use it to guide your stylus.
