Hi. Can you tell us what happens when you click the image? Does it just stay in place? What happens when you click outside the image? Can you also please tell us how many versions you mean by "several"? Does this happen on every version?
Things it can be:
- a corrupted system level file that's shared among all versions (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html)

- a plugin that's too old, that's in a folder shared among versions (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/plug-ins-photoshop-troubleshooting.html) or, having duplicated an old plugin into a newer version of the app.
- a lack of ability for the Creative Cloud app to confirm your subscription (Log out of creative cloud, Uninstall the CC app, restart the computer, Reinstall the Creative Cloud app, Log back into your Creative Cloud account)

Other things may be happening, but these would be my first suspicions.

Bonjour .
