I'm using the patch tool, destination. Attempting to make copies of my selection.
The selection copy is faded just a little bit.
And if I select say, 1/4 of the image to be duplicated and moved, the copied selection is VERY faded.
So, the smaller the portion of the original image, the MORE FADED the copy is.
I am so stumped . Can someone help me with this ?

Can you show some screen shot examples?

Yes, Here you’ll see that when I select the majority of the image, the copy is only slightly faded.
But when I select 1/4 of the target and move it over to the right, it is faded about 50% or so.
Thank you Chuck, been stuck on this all evening. Hope you can help.

I went back to the forum and initiated a new question along with a screen shot of the issue.
This is driving me crazy, I just hate to surrender to it !

Here is an example of the patch tool enigma .Note how the copied section is FADED. Interestingly, the smaller the bite of the original source, the more the FADE effect.

From what I can tell, it's trying to blend in to the white bg. So, yes, is should be lighter. If you wand to copy a section just use ctrl/cmd-J to put it on a new layer.

Thank you Chuck,
I’ll try that later this evening. Will let you know.
