Pattern Overlay Size Incorrect

Hi,

I've created a Pattern Tile to use at 100% when filling with the Pattern Overlay function. This has previously worked with everything from the Pattern Overlay function being at the same size as the Pattern Tile I created. Now when I use the Pattern Overlay function the pattern is bigger than the Pattern Tile when I apply it at 100%.

 

What Can I do to fix this?

I don't want to reduce the percentage size in the Pattern Overlay function to match the Pattern Tile size.

Are you using pixels as the reference for your sizing? I'm not seeing an issue. I did a 100px pattern at 300 ppi and put in into a 100 ppi res image, just to see if the res messed it up. No problem. The overlay was at 100 px at 100%. Maybe reset your preferences?

Just as I thought: you need to go by pixel dimension. If you go by any other unit value, you have to make sure the ppi matches also.

Hi,

I just worked it out, the resolution was different between the Pattern Tile file, and the other file I was using the Pattern Overlay for. The Pattern Tile was 300 resolution, and the other file was 200. I created a new file at 300 and now the human is 6cm when I use the Pattern Overlay function. 

I've tried changing the file I was originally working in to 300 resolution but the Pattern is still too big. I guess I'll have to start again.

I just closed the file I changed to 300, and then reopened it. Now the pattern is the correct size when using the Pattern Overlay. Just in case someone ever has the same problem.
