Pattern preview not showing up for me

Hi there, I'm using a PC and noticed that when I try to find the Pattern Preview option under the View menu it's not listed. I tried it with both artboard and non artboard coduments. When I tried it on the old MAC computer it popped up just fine. I am using the latest version of PS. Anyone who can help I'd much appreaicte it!
