Pen tool help

Hello, when i make selection on my pen tool shape and i try to cut it, it cuts my selection except everything around it same problem when trying to paint, it paints my selection not space around it

Please help

Hi

The pen tool creates a path. Whether what is contained inside the path is used, or whether what is outside is used, depends on the path operations set in the options bar.

Set it to combine/subtract depending on your needs
