Pen Tool Lines in CS5.1

Is there a way to increase the pen tool linewidth and make the line a different color? It's a very faint dark color line that is sometimes very difficult to follow around curved edges, especially with a busy background. Photoshop CS5.1, Mac OS High Sierra.

Thanks,

John

On the Mac, go to Photoshop > Preferences > Guides, Grids & Slices... and under Path, use the dropdown menus to select a different color and a different thickness.

Thanks Myra, but I can't find a path option on the preferences panel.  I'll keep looking though.

It's the second group from the bottom in the Guides, Grids & Slices section:

I don't have that option in my panel.  Maybe my version is too old.

Oh, sorry. I just noticed the version number in your subject line. I'm on 22.4.2. Yes, your version may be too old.

Thank you. That's the same conclusion that JJ below thought.

It makes pen selections difficult with backgrounds like this one.  (My wife and I in 1972)

I'll keep on trying.  Maybe have to adjust my eye glasses! lol

Not that I know of. I see the option in CC 2018 but it not in CC 2014 so it was added in a release between CC 2014 and CC 2018.

Thanks JJ!  It's beginning to look like you're right... unfortunately!
