Pen tool path options

Path options for my Pen Tool are grayed out. (Rubber Band works) I'm using Photoshop v21.2.1 .

(My previous version of Photoshop's pen tool works fine, v20.0.9) . Open GL is not disabled.

I have an iMac v10.13.6 Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB.

Am I stuck using the older version of Photoshop?

When you say Path Options, do you mean this?

Can you provide a screen shot showing more clearly what you're seeing, and please include the Layers panel.

If you use the "Picture" icon to upload your screenshot, it will appear inline, rather than adding it as link.

Michael, no, I mean the Path Options (gear icon) are grayed out.
