Pencil gives only dots not lines with mouse

I have been using the pencil tool to draw lines with my mouse

I suddenly could only draw dots and no lines

I have spent 30 min on community looking for answers

Quick help much appreciated

I am having the exact same problem ... when drawing paths with the pen tool i am only able to see the points i create not the lines between them.

And did you test the work-around I mentioned in post 1?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Are you talking about the »Pen Tool«?

If so: Keep a Work Path, then you should be able to work on named Paths as expected.

I'm having the same issue with the dots and not being able to draw lines.

Tool is "Drawing Tool" that looks like a pencil in the Comment Menu

I'm not sure what you mean by "work path".
