Since Adobe removed ALL old download links several months ago I doubt that you downloaded from Adobe... what is the link?

When it was available, the non-activation CS2 was for owners who needed a replacement due to the activation server being retired

I don't think so, Whether it's CS2 or CS6 - All versions contains copyright codings and work. So, you might voilate adobe rules & regulations of usage.

"I just downloaded photoshop cs2 from Adobe."

I don't think so given that Adobe removed CS2 and CS3 installers from their website.  And the activation servers are long gone.  So even if you have an old computer to support outdated software, there is no possible way to activate it.

The risk of infecting your computer with malware from cracked/pirated software is too high.  Don't do it.

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away!

I apologize for piling on!

I purchased Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and through the years upgraded to Photoshop 6.0, CS and CS2.

Now that my old computer is no longer useable, I am trying to migrate to a new (Dell) desktop with Windows 10 Pro.

For whatever reason, I am not able to install and run my copy of Photoshop CS2.

I cannot get by the “ACTIVATION” page !.

The installation disc was bought and paid for and I should be able to use it

As an alternative, rather that consult a lawyer I guess I’ll consider a subscription (at far less the cost)

Any other alternatives would be appreciated

Hi

Adobe has taken down the activation servers for CS3 and earlier. There is a photgraphy plan (annual) for $9.99 per month.
