Perspective animation tween - how to?

Hi, I'm trying to make an animation where only the perspective changes. I Googled a bunch of times but couldn't find anyone using perspective; rather only transform and position.

Now I've got the image in front of me; the Timeline open. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I convert the layer to a Smart Object. Then I add a transform 'key frame', add another for example 5 frames further. Extend the timeline for that frame (weirdly enough it doesn't show up in keyframe 5 if you extend it to that, so have to extend it to the 6th and keyframe to 5th). But then what? It doesn't *do* anything.

I know there's also the other Timeline type with the cards, but if I try to tween there nothing happens.

Or if anyone knows of a tutorial for this?

Thanks for your reply. I have not been able to find it there though. None of them are using the perspective transform.

Fortunately, I have been able to solve it myself. After some experimenting this is what I did:

1) Use and create a Timeline animation (not the Frame animation)

2) Convert the layer to a smart object

3) Move the red timeline 'line'/handle to the start of the timeline (if it's not at 0 already)

3) Click on the Add Keyframe button (it's tiny, the one between the two arrows left of 'Transform' in the timeline, you might have to unfold the timeline layer by clicking on the tiny arrow first), once keyframe added a diamond icon should appear in the timeline

4) Extend the timeline duration, to for example 10 seconds or whatever you need (you can zoom in/out with the buttons at the bottom of the timeline)

5) Set the timeline handle all the way to the right, add another keyframe, this time the diamond icon should become yellow

6) Transform perspective > transform it the way you want and apply

7) It should now automatically create a smooth animation

😎 (Optional) If you want to export them as seperate .png files like I do, choose File > Export > Render video, choose 'Image sequence' under 'Adobe Media Encoder'. There you can apply all kinds of settings. For transparent .png without black background choose 'Straight Unmatted' under 'Alpha Channel'.

That's it!
