photo transfer not recognized

I am new to this version of photoshop and I am trying to tranfer images from my camera to PS. 2026  It doesn't recognize the disc yet when I unplug it , I get the message disc ejected incorrectly

Photoshop is not a file transfer tool. You need to use Bridge, Lightroom, or the Finder (Mac)/File Explorer (Windows) to copy files to your drive.

As for ejecting a camera or disk, that's a basic computer operation that has nothing to do with Photoshop.

How are you transferig images? Are you opening them usimg File > Open ?
