photos not opening the correct way round in time line

im trying to create a slide show for an 18th birthday on time line but when i try adding the media when the photos load up some come up the wrong way round some are ok but others open up 90 degrees off i have tryed so many times to correct them in time line but nothing works what am i doing wrong

You can use Adobe Bridge to set the rotation metadata so that when you open the images they come in as you require.

 

Photoshop also has a preference setting to ignore EXIF rotation metadata.

 

If the image is rotated incorrectly in the layers panel, you can rotate that layer.
