Photoshop 1.0 OG

Hi.

Does anyone know if there's a version of photoshop 1 that will run on new macs?

I wish to carry out all my future retouching work using the OG software, take more time, charge more dollar. Would be curious to see which processes aren't possible or limited.

cheers!

Hi Robot,

OG Software appears to be a consulting company. Can you tell us how it applies to your peculiar question about running a 32-year-old version of Photoshop on a new Mac?

Your post sounds like spam, Robot, but on the odd chance it isn't, here are the current plans for Photoshop. The least expensive is the Photography plan (annual), payable monthly.

Sorry, i meant THE OG software. As in the original photoshop. No problem. I realise someone creating a novelty emulation environment just to satisfy a bit of curiosity is a bit much of an ask. Retouching takes long enough as it is!

I'm so glad you came back, Robot! I have heard of Photoshop emulators that run on modern systems, but have not tried any. If these don't work, "Photoshop 1.0 emulator" is what you want to look up.

Let us know if you have success.

Photoshop 1 was 32 years ago and needed system 6. Look for an antique Mac and Photoshop 1.0. Not sure how you'd transfer files to any modern system.

Photoshop 1 didn’t even feature Layers, so I think you would be doing yourself no favor by reverting to it.

And naturally it doesn’t run on a current OS.

Maybe an emulator could simulate an environment/OS under which it could run but is it worth the trouble?
