I need assistance trying to create a 1 bit depth tiff file in Photoshop.

I start by opening a pdf file in Photoshop CC with the following settings but only 8 or 16 Bit Depth is displayed despite selecting Grayscale. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Once your file is opened go to Image/Mode and convert to Bitmap. That is a 1 bit depth image.
