Photoshop 2018 macOS black title bars

After installing CC 2018 the title bars of all open files changed to black. Is there any way to change that back to system default?

    It is the standard macOS dark title bar that you also see if you launch the QuickTime player.

    Both macOS and Photoshop has distinct UI brightness settings, but I notice that the QuickTime player does not honor the OS setting (QuickTime player is always dark).

    One could make an argument that Photoshop should follow the OS setting for floating title bars (the OS setting can be changed in System Preferences > General > "Use dark menubar and Dock"


    We just released Photoshop version 19.1. With that version you can disable the dark title bars using the macOS Terminal application:

    - Launch Terminal (from the utilities folder)

    - Enter the following and hit return (don't include the quotes): "defaults write com.adobe.owl DisableDarkTitleBars -bool YES"

    - Relaunch Photoshop

    please make this question answered, because we now have a solution:

    put in terminal: "defaults write com.adobe.owl DisableDarkTitleBars -bool YES"

    This isn't a solution, its a work-around for people with better than average computer skills. 80% of my students, mostly the over 60 crowd, would have no understanding whatsoever of how to do this. Its lazy on Adobe's part. Fix your d**n software.

    The color of title bars on floating windows (on macOS 10.13 and up) follow the Photoshop UI brightness setting.

    You can control this from Preferences > Interface > Color Theme. Choose one of the two lighter settings.

    That is a terrible set up. The title bars are darker than even the darkest interface setting and look out of place. Most of all, they are harder to see for me.
