Photoshop 2020 Locks Up in Layer Style window Mac OS Catalina

Hi

Updated to 2020! Everytime I go into the layer style window the program locks up and I have to force quit. Haven't had any other trouble, also can't write over a file, it saves a copy insted.

Switching back to 2019 version.

I've had the same issue. Photoshop crashed three times at the same point. I opened an existing file and tried to change the shadow colour in a bevel/emboss. CRASH! So I created a new 500px square file, copied and pasted a rectangle in the centre and applied a bevel emboss. Saved the file. All ok. Opened the file and tried to change the shadow colour... CRASH.

Definitely a bug.

And how do you switch back to 2019 if you've uninstalled it?

Same problem. Cannot add Layer Styles with the latest update.

I have the same problem when trying to apply layer styles, all I get is the spinning beach ball after clicking OK and then I have to force quit Photoshop 2020. Fortunately I didn't remove the previous version cause PS v21.0 is a failure if you can't use simple layer styles anymore. Glad I found out about this problem before the whole studio upgraded, now no one will be updating any apps to 2020 for awhile.

I got same problem when change color of hilight in bebel & emboss.photoshop 2020 is freeze and have to force quit program.

Same problem in High Sierra. Messy, buggy release. Very disappointing.

YES! Just installed an UPDATE to Photoshop (12 November), and tried to replicate the issue... It seems to be fixed!

Yep it seems to be working for me too. Now if I could just get photoshop on the ipad to download photos from the cloud, I'd be set, but this is for a different part of the forum.
