Photoshop 2023 doesn't open psd files from older version

Hi everyone,
My photoshop 2023 is just fine with any file format except .psd files that are from previous versions of Photoshop. While opening them, it just crashes and a report window is shown. This problem doesn't occur with opening the .psd that I just created with this version. I tried every solution that can be found on the internet and none of them worked. The display driver is up-to-date, deactivating native canvas, disabling the use of graphic processor, checking older GPU mode, and some other solutions didn't work either.
My system is:
Dell xps15 9500 laptop
Windows 11
GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
DirectX 12

[SOLVED]
After uninstalling and reinstalling the program, the issue is gone and old .psd files are now open normally.

I can't wait to uninstall and reinstall after reading this. But wanted you to know that I had the same issue in the middle of a big deadline. I ended up going to PS first and " open" a file from lightroom and it was indeed the unflatten work I needed!
