Photoshop 2023 not opening .PSD by default

Hello

I'm having issues with Photoshop not opening .PSD files by default anymore.

I did the update and now getting this and clicking Ok or selecting the other one doesn't work.

I've tried "choose another application" and finding the photoshop.exe in program files, but this does the same thing. The "How do you want to open this .psd file?" box just appears again after hitting "ok".

Any solutions?

If I drag and drop the file it works fine.

I'm running Windows 11 on a Dell XPS 15 9500.

PS version is v24.0

SOLVED!!

Find the Photoshop.exe file (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2023)

And rename

Then find a .PSD and right click

Go to properties

Click "Change..." beside "Opens with:" and go find Photoshop23.exe (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2023)

Click Apply and Ok and you're done!

I tried many things but none of them worked. So I watched this tutorial and I set Photoshop 2023: RUN PHOTOSHOP AS AN ADMINISTRATOR.  Try STEP 1 and STEP 2, then restart the computer. After so many hours, the latest version of photoshop worked. Still mad a Adobe for making waste my time tho.
