Photoshop 2023 :' outil Sélection d'objet

After experimenting with several laptops, both mac and windows, the Object Selection Tool set at it's defaults is substantially slower on any of those laptops as compared to a Mac Studio or a custom built Windows desktop, both of which have almost instantaneous results.

While i believe what Cory eluded to about your only having 8 gbs of ram does has a major role to play with the issue, your computer only has two physical processors which also very much slows down the Object Selection Tool.

On the "tests" i ran with the laptops, after getting the red outline and clicking on the object inside the red outline, it took a few minutes on average for the selection (marching ants) to show.

Hi @marie france22711363ay43 it is most likely the RAM issue.  Again, please review the specs for Ps or rollback to a version of Ps that your system can support.

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
