Will the latest version of PS 2023 with new AI features run on a new iMac 24" with only 16mb of memory?

Will 16mb of soldered memory in the new iMac be enough to run future updates of PS as they become available?  I thought 32-64mb were the minimum need for PS to work well.  I don't want to buy a new computer and 1 or 2 yrs it will not be able to keep up with PS and AI features.

You mean 16GB and yes you should be fine for the next few years. Macs hold their value well and you'll be able to sell an M1 for a decent price in, say, 5-6 years.

Your instincts are correct. "Working" and "working well" are two different things. Go with the highest you can afford.

i think 64 mb is overkill for ps and ai. premiere is a different story.

Look at the recommended requirements for running Photoshop well. If your config is near the minimum, you can be sure that Photoshop will run, but not well and future versions may require more resources. But in general, you will need a crystal ball for knowing what the requirement in 2 years will be.

yes, for the current ps.  forever into the future, probably not.
