When downsizing complex image from 6000 to 1920 px something weird occurs on the edges…

It's much better if you post screenshots at 100%. A blurry and scaled video doesn't show much.
Generally, if you have layers with masks, or floating layers in general, flatten the image before scaling. You're going to keep the original master image with layers anyway.
Masks and floating layers will resample all edges, softening them.

@D Fosse "A blurry and scaled video doesn't show much"
If you set the quality of the video to 1080p it's not blurry, for some reason it's blurry when you launch it first, but setting the quality to 1080p resolves the blurry issue

Got it, Ged - but I still think screenshots are generally preferable and illustrates better.
Maybe that's because I'm a photographer and not a videographer (is that a word?) 😉

I just wanted to show the full operation. Lazy as I am a video was quicker than an explanation… 😉
BTW I tried another downsizing from 6000 to 4000 and the problem is still the same on the edges.
Exporting at a smaller size is OK so no need to flatten…

Ah, now I see it, @didiermazier - the blurry transparency along the top and left edges.
I would be very surprised if this is not the masked smart filter group. Are there some leftover edge pixels in the mask? This is something I would definitely flatten before resizing. Export works a bit differently, it will always flatten before resizing.
A smart filter retains its settings at the smaller size, which means that the effect will be exaggerated.
